Governor Recognizes Four Clarksville Reward Schools
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman announced 168 schools as the 2013-14 Reward Schools, the top 5 percent of schools in the state for academic achievement and the top 5 percent for annual growth. Four of those schools are in CMCSS, with the announcement staged at Hazelwood Elementary.
State Releases District Data
The State Department of Education released district level achievement data taken from last spring’s assessments for grades 3-high school. CMCSS remained in the same category as last year, in Need of Improvement.
Family Book Club
Tuesday, September 2nd from 5:30-7:00 at New Providence Middle School is the first meeting. After that we will meet twice a month. These book clubs are for parents and students to participate in together and a great opportunity to assist your child with their reading development while having fun.
