Governor Recognizes Four Clarksville Reward Schools
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman announced 168 schools as the 2013-14 Reward Schools, the top 5 percent of schools in the state for academic achievement and the top 5 percent for annual growth. Four of those schools are in CMCSS, with the announcement staged at Hazelwood Elementary.
State Releases District Data
The State Department of Education released district level achievement data taken from last spring’s assessments for grades 3-high school. CMCSS remained in the same category as last year, in Need of Improvement.

If you wish to apply for Free or Reduced lunch status, you can now do so online. Please click on the link above and follow the directions given. If approved, you may then choose to request a school fee waiver from your child's teacher or the school book keeper.
CHES will not collect school fees until September 22nd. This will provide families some relief to other beginning of the school year expenses and allow time for families to apply for free and reduced lunch, if needed. Families approved to receive free or reduced meals may then request a fee waiver. To apply online, please click on the link above.
