Governor Recognizes Four Clarksville Reward Schools
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman announced 168 schools as the 2013-14 Reward Schools, the top 5 percent of schools in the state for academic achievement and the top 5 percent for annual growth. Four of those schools are in CMCSS, with the announcement staged at Hazelwood Elementary.
State Releases District Data
The State Department of Education released district level achievement data taken from last spring’s assessments for grades 3-high school. CMCSS remained in the same category as last year, in Need of Improvement.
Anyone interested in playing boys basketball this year will need to attend an informational meeting after school Monday August 25th in the Lecture Hall across from the gym. If you can not attend please see Coach Malone in the Social Studies hallway.
Attention Junior/Senior Girls
The Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Debutante season. Please see Mrs. Perry for details. The application deadline is Septermber 13th.
Attention Seniors Athletes
Information is now available in the Counseling Center for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award. The application deadline is October 3rd.
