Hello! My name is Cheryl DeYeso. This is my fifth year at Moore Magnet Elementary! I earned a BFA in Graphic Design in 2008 and a BFA in Art Education K-12 in 2012 from the University of Tennessee at Martin. I have a daughter who will be starting second grade this year. When I'm not at school I enjoy making art, reading, being outdoors, exercising, and spending time with family. My goal is for every child to walk away from my class with a new and inspiring understanding about art and its importance in our lives, our environment and our world!

I am excited to begin my tenth year at Moore Magnet. I believe in a growth mindset: that intelligence and other qualities, abilities, and talents can be developed with effort, learning, and dedication. This year my role will be to work along side our teachers to improve student learning in any way I can.

I received my B.A. in K-12 Physical Education at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. After graduating from college, I was a cheerleader for the Tennessee Titans. I moved to Germany and taught on base for over a year. I then moved back to TN and taught Physical Education and Health/Wellness at Northwest High School for 6 years before transferring here to Moore Magnet. In 2013 I obtained my Masters Degree from APSU in School Supervision and Administration. I am excited about physically educating our students, faculty, and community!
