To complete the enrollment process, parents will need to go to the school with required documents: A birth certificate. State law requires that a copy of a student’s state-issued birth certificate be in their cumulative folder. Student's Tennessee Immunization Record. A medical exam is recommended for all students in grades K-12 at time of registration. Proof of Custody (if requested by school). Two (2) Proofs of Residence (Example: water bill, electric bill, lease agreement, or other residency, etc.) Other residency information may be requested by the school. Kindergarten Information: According to the State Department of Education, children entering kindergarten shall be five (5) years of age on or before August 15 for the 2018-19 school year. Tennessee State Law also requires that a student going into the first grade must show proof of attendance in an accredited kindergarten program.

Due to construction, June registration dates will be held at Hazelwood Elementary School. Please bring the following REQUIRED documents: 2 proofs of residence; your student's birth certificate; and your student's Tennessee Immunization Record.

We are collecting Box Tops at Barkers Mill. Please send Box Tops in bundles of 50 with your child. Your child can bring them to the front office.

  School Attendance -Every Minute Makes a Difference
Don't miss a minute. If possible, please return your child after his/her appointment. Parents should return notes to the Attendence Secretary Excused Absences Include: Parent notes (up to 5 days per school year for student illness); Doctor/Dentist/hospital note; Required court appointment; Funeral documentation; Military paperwork related to parent deployment.

Why start the day with a growling stomach? Check out your school breakfast - everyone is welcome! Breakfast is served in the classroom starting at 8:35 to 8:50 every school day (except for half days).
  CMCSS Definition of Bullying
To distinguish bullying-related acts from other inappropriate behaviors, CMCSS defines bullying as: (a) harm occurs through an intentional act; and (b) a power imbalance exists; and (c) the accused enjoys carrying out the action; and (d) the accused repeats the behavior, often in a systematic way; and (e) the target has a sense of being persecuted or oppressed and is hurt physically and or psychologically. Bullying-related acts may include: Actions of engaging in reprisal or retaliation against any person who reports, who is a target of, or witness to a bullying-related act, or any person with reliable information about a bullying-related act; or actions in which one falsely accuses another of having committed a bullying-related act as a means of reprisal or retaliation or as a means of a bullying related act.
