  First Nine Weeks REPORT CARDS Oct. 23
REPORT CARDS - Monday, OCTOBER 23. The nine weeks grading period ended on Friday, October 6th. Parents please encourage your students to submit ALL completed assignments to their teachers to ensure academic success.
  Knight Nation ACT Day
Seniors will be taking or retaking the ACT. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will take a mock ACT test. Information provided from these will provide valuable data to help our students prepare for ACT success.
  TN College Application Week
Seniors are encouraged to take advantage of the week's free application fees. Check with Ms. Shonda Foublasse for additional information. shonda.foublasse@cmcss.net
  Afternoon Tutoring
KHS afternoon tutoring is offered Monday through Thursday from 2:30-4:30. Free transportation is provided if needed. Student must have transportation permission forms signed and submitted to the front office by Friday, September 30th to receive transportation services. Contact the school's main office for additional bus transportation forms @ 931-905-7900.
  Jostens Cap & Gown Order Forms Due
Return your order form to Mrs. Smith for Basic Cap & Gown Packages. No money needed - Jostens will bill you. Place your orders for larger packages and other Senior "Bling" online at Jostens.com. You can set up a J-Pay account for payment plans!See the senior class website for details.

  Anime & Gamers Club Tuesdays 2:30 - 4:30
The club will now meet from 2:30 - 4:30 PM on Tuesdays in the library. Please note the end time change and have transportation on time! All students must sign in at the desk and will not be dismissed into the school. Students will use the outside library entrance to leave.

  Student Laptop Information
Please view the information provided for high school and middle school student laptops. Parents and students must sign the paperwork to be issued the student laptop. Forms are available in the school office. Parents who attended the information meetings should have turned these in on meeting night.
  STUDENT PARKING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED
All CURRENT student drivers are REQUIRED to register to park on school grounds.Students must park in the Stadium Student Lot. Download the application and bring in your driver license, proof of current insurance and registration. $15 for full year. $10 for Gold Card holders. See Mrs. Smith in the Cafeteria during lunches or in the Library Media Center. Parking permits for new drivers will be available all year in the Library Media Center.

  2017 KHS Graduate Signs Athletic Scholarship
Kenwood High School is proud to announce KHS 2017 graduate, Tyree Boykin signed an athletic scholarship to continue his career at Union University in Jackson, TN. Union University is a private Christian University in West TN that has a respected reputation for its strong academic and athletic programs.
  Kenwood Ties Rossview in Gridiron Action
Our Kenwood Knights football team matched up in gridiron action against the Hawks from Rossview High in the CMCSS/TOA football jamboree at APSU's Fortera Stadium. The exhibition game ended in a 7-7 tie. The football team will open up the regular season this upcoming Friday, August 18th at Greenbrier High School. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
  Laptop Backpack Information
This school year our students will be issued a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop for use in class and at home. Students will need to have a backpack with support padding for a laptop, or a padded laptop sleeve. The dimensions of the laptop are 12 ¼ inches x 9 ¾ inches.

Free one-on-one tutoring available Monday - Thursday from 4 PM - 8 PM. Call 615-298-6636 (Nashville) or call Sonic TOLL FREE 888-868-5777.All grade levels and subject areas available. Bilingual teachers who speak Spanish, Arabic, Kurdish, Swahili, Somali, and English are available to help!

  Reel Knights Movie Club
Start date TBA. Meets on Wednesdays. Students meet in the library then go to "A" Lecture Hall by the Science Hall. Movie starts @ 3 PM until approx. 4:30 PM depending on the movie! Students should make arrangements for transportation BEFORE staying after school. Club is free and open to any KHS student. For questions, see Ms. Johnson or Ms. McKenzie in the Library.
  Anime & Gamers Club
Meets every Tuesday from 2:30 - 4:30 in the Library. Free membership open to all KHS students. Concessions stand available to purchase snacks. Please arrange for transportation home BEFORE staying for after school activities. NOTE: Game donations needed! See the club website for info. For questions contact Mrs. Smith in the Library.
  KHS Community Service Hours Forms
For Seniors, NHS or other KHS students who need to keep a record of their community services hours. Community service is required for TN Promise and TN Scholars applicants as well as for other scholarships and college applications. This form is just to help you keep track of your service hours! These are not the official TN Promise forms that are on the TNAchieves website.

  FREE! Online Driver Education Programs
KHS has been selected to receive these free, Tennessee specific driver programs that contains practice tests for both car and motorcycle and also includes a practice CDL test. There are also 100+ DMV related FAQs. Sites are open to any of our Kenwood Knight families and staff.
