CMCSS is the seventh largest district in Tennessee, and according to U.S. Census figures in the top five fastest growing cities in the country.
Clarksville-Montgomery County School System serves approximately 32,500 students and employs
about 4,200 teachers, administrators and support staff.
There are 39 schools in the district: one K-5 Magnet School, 23 elementary, 7
middle, 7 high, and one Middle College, which is located on the campus of Austin Peay
State University. CMCSS also offers seven specialized, interest-driven college and career preparatory schools within our high schools.
CMCSS is the second largest employer in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area,
next to Fort Campbell Army Post.
