Next Chief Academic Officer Named

Current Clarksville-Montgomery County School System’s Middle Schools Director Sean Impeartrice will serve as Chief Academic Officer when B.J. Worthington begins his duties as Director of Schools on August 1.
Dr. Worthington and Schools Director Mike Harris jointly announced the appointment today.  “Dr. Impeartrice’s work with the district over the past few years, particularly his familiarity with our goals and strategic work, is a vital component to have in our academic leadership in a time of many transitions at the state level,” Dr. Worthington noted.

Dr. Impeartrice has served as the director of CMCSS middle schools for five years, and most recently chaired the CMCSS five-year accreditation review by AdvancEd. He also serves on the adjunct faculty for Austin Peay State University and Trevecca Nazarene University.  His previous experience includes holding administrative positions in the Franklin City School System.

He earned both his doctorate in education and his master’s in education from Trevecca Nazarene University. He earned a B.A. in history and received his teaching certification from Fresno State University in California.

Dr. Impeartrice has served on the Tennessee State Board for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and serves on accreditation review teams for AdvancEd, which reviews schools and systems around the world.
