CMCSS Wins First Place in National Awards Program Recognizing Innovation and Excellence in Public Schools

Alexandria, Va.- The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) is a first-place winner in the 23rd annual Magna Awards program, which is sponsored by the National School Boards Association’s (NSBA’s) flagship magazine, American School Board Journal (ASBJ). The Magna Awards recognize school districts and their leaders for taking bold and innovative steps to improve the lives of students and their communities. CMCSS won for its twice annual program “Business After School”,modeled after the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours. The program, a collaboration of the school system’s Board, the CMC Education Foundation and the Chamber, invites a local audience to learn more about instruction and curriculum in the school system through direct interaction with students.

Community Resource & Job Information Fair

The Community Resource and Job Information Fair will bring together resources available to the Clarksville-Montgomery County community. There will be information on available social service agencies and an opportunity for job seekers to speak with recruiters from the area. Date: April 6, 2017 Time: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Location: Kenwood High School Gymnasium

Schools are on a Two-Hour Delay Wednesday, March 1

This is the Communications Office from the Clarksville Montgomery County School System. We will be on a two-hour delay this morning, March the 1st. We apologize for this late notice, but the storm system has moved into the area more rapidly than expected, and it will be in our immediate vicinity during our school bus loading and delivery times. Again, there will be a two-hour delay this morning.
