January 10, 2018

The Tennessee Department of Education has released the state report card for the 2016-17 school year. To review the results, click on this link: and select Montgomery County under the Districts dropdown menu

The key takeaways for Clarksville-Montgomery County include:

  • * For the third year in a row, CMCSS reached the top score of “most effective” on student progress or academic growth
  • * The state has re-set the bar for the TNReady test, making it more rigorous with a higher expectation for proficiency and advanced
  • * In every subject and grade level tested, CMCSS scored higher than the state average

“As the bar rises on academic expectations in Tennessee, I am very proud to see our student scores rise as well. These results can be attributed to the leadership of teachers and administrators in the school system, coupled with the focus of our students with parent and community support,” said Schools Director Millard House II.

“We have been reviewing each data release closely over the past several months. We continue to make adjustments where appropriate and emphasize what is best for our students and their all-around success,” he added.
