Welcome to the Alternative PLAN site!  This page lists district in-service offerings scheduled between September 29, 2008 and late December 2008/early January 2009.  Listings include course title, course information (click on the course title), date, time, place and instructor. 

PLAN users are asked to adhere to the following Procedures and Guidelines for enrolling and withdrawing from courses during our transition to the enhanced PLAN program.

PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES

All in-service procedures and guidelines remain in effect while PLAN is offline. Official versions of all CMCSS documents are available at ISO 9001 Master Document list (http://www.cmcss.net/iso/main.asp)

In-service plans must still be submitted on PRD-F001 - Professional Development Activity Plan (2008-2009)

In-service Registration/Withdrawal Instructions:

  1. Review course titles listed below and all related course information. 
  1. Click on the course title for a course description.
  1. To ENROLL in a course, contact the Course Instructor/Contact by email (click on their email address).  In the email to the Course Instructor/ Contact, request enrollment in the course by the number and title. (Tip:  Cut and paste the Course Number and Title and paste it into your email.)
  1. To WITHDRAW from a course, contact the Course Instructor/Contact by email (clicking on their email).  In the email to the Course Instructor/ Contact, request withdrawal from the course by the number and title. (Tip:  Cut and paste the Course Number and Title and paste it into your email.)
  1. In accordance with PRD-P001In-service Requirements, NO-SHOWS may be assessed a $30.00 nonparticipation fee if they do not contact the Course Instructor/Contract at least 48 hours prior to the in-service to withdraw from a course.

In-service Course Instructor/Contact:

  1. As detailed above, teachers requesting to register/withdraw from an in-service will email Course Instructors/Contacts directly through the district’s email system.  Course Instructors/Contacts are asked to maintain registration records for each session using PRD-F006 – CMCSS Attendance Record.
  1. Course Instructors/Contacts should also usePRD-F006 – CMCSS Attendance Record as a sign-in form. Upon completion of the in-service, please return the form by courier to Connie Lighthiser at the Teachers’ Professional Development Center.
