Thank you for visiting the Clarksville-Montgomery County JROTC web-page and allowing us to provide you with some information about our program and JROTC in general.
JROTC is a cooperative effort on the part of the US Army and local school systems throughout our nation to provide high school students, grades 9 – 12, with an opportunity for total self-development. The JROTC Program of Instruction concentrates on the development of better citizens through a curriculum centered on leadership, citizenship, lifetime wellness, teamwork and individual responsibility. Students / Cadets within the Clarksville-Montgomery County JROTC program begin the year with memorizing the Preamble to the Constitution, which implies the concept of Teamwork and working together to achieve common goals, and by memorizing the Cadet Creed, which contains the idea of individual responsibility. These concepts in conjunction with numerous Community Support and Annual Service Learning Projects, allow our program to re-enforce the JROTC mission: ‘To motivate young people to be better citizens’.
