The Business Affairs department oversees the financial resources available to the district and ensures maximum use of those resources. Areas of the Business Affairs department include accounting, grants, inventory control, ISO9001 (policies and procedures), payroll, and purchasing.
Child Nutrition is responsible for all cafeteria operations including preparation of breakfast and lunch at each location. This department also provides meals for the Head Start program and summer feeding programs.
The Communications department strives to communicate the successes, challenges, and goals of the district. Functions of the department include communication campaigns, marketing materials, strategic planning, photography and graphic design, web design and content, Partners in Education, printing services as well as overseeing the central records area responsible for student academic transcripts.
The Director's Office oversees all aspects of the district, ensuring that all departments are striving to meet the goals and strategic work of the school system.
Human Resources engages in recruitment of highly skilled employees while protecting the rights of the 3,900 employees of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Areas of the Human Resources department include recruitment, staff development, employee processing, benefits and risk management/safety.
The Instruction and Curriculum Department supports student achievement by providing assistance and guidance in curriculum training and implementation, professional development, implementation of state and federal mandates, and school improvement planning.
The Operations department is responsible for providing students with safe and reliable transportation as well as planning, overseeing and maintaining all physical locations within the district. Areas of the operations department include: custodial services, maintenance, plant facilities and transportation.
The Technology department is responsible for the maintenance and development of hardware and software resources, network connections, communication systems, web site development and maintenance and the training of technology throughout the district.
