Every day the employees of the Operations Department at CMCSS have the privilege of operating and maintaining the school buildings and school buses that in many ways establish the public’s image of this great School District. We take this responsibility very seriously and we are very proud of our schools, our beautiful campuses, and of the performance of our school bus fleet. We are also involved in land purchases, long range planning, zoning, contingency operations, and weather decisions. We are convinced that our work can and does have a positive impact on student achievement.

The Operations Department at CMCSS is made up of four independent departments each with unique responsibilities. These departments include: the Student Transportation Department which coordinates and provides all student transportation services to our students. The Vehicle Maintenance Department is responsible for conducting and coordination of all maintenance services of the district’s 400 vehicles. The Facilities Management Department which is responsible for managing the construction, renovation, and capital improvements of our facilities and for our utilities management. The Building Maintenance Department is responsible for conducting or coordinating all maintenance services to our existing grounds and facilities and for providing district level Custodial support to the District’s 175 custodians.
