On Monday July 21, the school system transitioned to a new web site that is more user friendly and visually appealing. A few benefits you will notice on the site include a site index, a search box, easier navigation, improved updates and more photos of our students, employees and parents. A real treat for the organizers and planners out there is the comprehensive calendar feature, where all system events are listed, but users can focus as narrowly or widely as they wish.
As you browse the site, you may notice that the logo in the upper left hand corner of the web site is different from the familiar bell inside the window graphic image. Last spring, we got feedback from almost every advisory group in the school system regarding the graphic representation of the system. We took that feedback and worked with a Clarksville High alumnus who now works as a graphic artist in Nashville. He conceptualized the input and created the new design.
The design of the image incorporates the color green to symbolize growth – in our capacity of learning, our numbers of students and staff and a focus on renewal of resources. From the letter “V,” in the word Clarksville, you will see graduation caps or mortar boards symbolizing our belief and the belief of the community that every student will graduate. This process begins in pre-school, and that focus continues through elementary, middle and high. Symbolically, as the boards spiral out, we see a synergy of talented, successful students moving into our community. Because of the fluidity of design, this logo can stand alone as type or incorporate a message or focus, such as our 100% Graduation campaign. The words Clarksville-Montgomery County are dominant in the lettering because they represent our work together as a community helping every child in our schools reach their potential.

We appreciate the input and shared design of this image and hope you will enjoy navigating the website. Please continue to give us valued feedback to help make this system better every day!
