Assistant Principal Appointments

Paula FordThe appointment of Melisse J. Cooper as the full-time assistant principal of Liberty Elementary School is being announced today.

Cooper earned her master of arts in curriculum and instruction from Austin Peay State University and her education specialist degree in educational administration and supervision Ed. S. from Lincoln Memorial University. Her bachelor of arts degree in communications and marketing was earned from David Lipscomb University.  

She has been serving as a split assistant principal between Liberty and Glenellen Elementary Schools since August 2008. She also served as a third grade teacher for 13 years. Cooper will be replacing Jimmy Stephens who accepted a teaching position at the CMCSS Middle College. Her appointment will be effective Jan. 5, 2009.

 

The appointment of Frances Ann Camp as the full-time assistant principal of Rossview Elementary School is being announced today. She will begin her duties during the 2009-10 school year.

Camp earned her master of administration and supervision degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Austin Peay State University.  

She has been serving as the assistant principal of Barkers Mill Elementary School since July 2006. Prior to that she worked as the assistant principal at Hazelwood Elementary during the 2005-2006 school year. She also served as a first grade teacher for 10 years at Hazelwood Elementary School.
