Clarksville High School Appointment Announced

Phyllis Casebolt today was named principal of Clarksville High by Director of Schools Michael Harris. Casebolt currently serves as principal of West Creek Middle School, which she opened in August 2007.

Phyllis Casebolt“I’m excited to be given the opportunity to lead Clarksville High School. I deeply value the CHS tradition and the contribution it has made to education here. My parents, siblings and children all graduated from Clarksville High,” Casebolt said. “This year is my 30th class reunion from CHS – so it’s quite a unique homecoming for me personally and now professionally.”

Casebolt added, “I want to acknowledge and applaud the WCMS community for the supportive environment offered to me as a leader and to the students we serve.”

She previously served as assistant principal at Rossview High. Casebolt began her teaching career at Moore Elementary School in 1987.  Prior to serving as an assistant principal at Rossview High, she  taught several years at Richview Middle School.  She also has been a teacher at Ringgold Elementary as well as Thackston Elementary in Knoxville.

She earned her master of arts degree in education, administration and supervision from Austin Peay State University and her bachelor of science in education at Minot State University in Minot, ND.

Casebolt will begin her duties at CHS the week of January 19. Chief Academic Officer B.J. Worthington has been serving as interim principal at the school.
