 Due to a power outage, affecting Northwest High School, we are dismissing students for the day. Parents who drive their students to school may pick them up immediately. Student car drivers will be dismissed at 9:30 AM and buses will arrive at the school to pick up students at 9:45 a.m.

The power had been out since early this morning and the building was starting to cool down. Power was not available for school breakfast and lunch preparations also were being affected.

CDE was unable to provide an estimated time of power restoration to the building.

As this message was deploying, the power came back on. It was too late to change the message and because the power has been sporadic it was decided to release students.
