Health Occupations Students of America or better known as HOSA is a student organization that provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for HSE programs. HOSA is 100% health care! The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science technology education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.

Students choose a historical topic related to the annual theme, and then conduct primary and secondary research, creating an end project that they take to district competition at Austin Peay, with the opportunity to compete nationwide.

JROTC
The United States Army’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, and personal responsibility. This is achieved while instilling in the cadets self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. The focus is reflected in the JROTC mission statement, “To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens”. The program prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens.
