I moved to Clarksville in 2004 to attend APSU, where I got my Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Latin and Education. I'm very excited to continue my study of Classics while bringing new scholars into the field.

¡Bienvenidos a Español! I am very excited to be with West Creek High School. I am a graduate of Texas State University and have taught Spanish for almost six years now. I believe that in order to truly learn a language, one must hear it, speak it and always practice it. This year we will focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing about topics students can relate to. We will also cover Spanish culture and art themes throughout the year. I absolutely love teaching Spanish and love teaching at the secondary school level. I believe that this is my true calling. I look forward to a wonderful 2017-2018 year! Por Favor (please) check my website for classroom updates and information throughout the year.

¡Hola! I am very excited to be teaching at West Creek once again. I look forward to another successful school year. I earned my Associate in Teaching Spanish from Howard Community College. My Bachelor in Education Studies with a concentration in English Language Learners from Ashford University. My Master in Teaching Secondary Education from Austin Peay State University. I was born in El Salvador, raised in Maryland and have moved multiple times due to the Army. Teaching Spanish has been my career goal since high school. Seeing my students continue to build their Spanish proficiency and become interested in the culture brings so much joy to heart. I truly enjoy sharing my love for the language and culture with all my students.

I am excited to start the 2017-2018 school year again as a coyote. This is my 5th year here at West Creek High School teaching Spanish 1 and 2. I look forward to sharing my love of language and culture with the students. I am a Clarksville native. I graduated from Northwest High School. I also graduated Austin Peay State University in 2012 with my degree in Spanish with a minor in Professional education. I attended a school in Guanajuato, Mexico for a study abroad program in 2009 and fell even more in love with the language. We are planning a trip to Peru during the summer of 2018. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Click on the "Peru 2018" link on the right of the page for general information.
