Schools in CMCSS will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 17 due to hazardous road conditions.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Central Support staff at Services Gracey, Services South, Operations and Greenwood should report at 10 a.m. Maintenance and custodial staff will be contacted about their start time if they are needed before 10 a.m. Thank you.

Good evening Knight Nation, Due to the increasing chance of inclement weather for early Friday morning, this Friday night's basketball game against Rossview High has been rescheduled for tomorrow night. Unfortunately as a result of the rescheduled basketball game, I'm making tomorrow our Black and Gold spirit day and you can where your blue jeans tomorrow. Knights beat Henry Co in a district 10 AAA matchup. Knights led the entire game and ended up winning 64-41. Knights were led in scoring by James “Scooter “ Williams with 14, Curtis Patterson had 13 and Allen Zirker added 12. Knights move to 7-5 and 3-4 in the district. Knights play Host to Montgomery Central on Wed 1/10/18.

1/4/2018   Titans Radio Student Broadcaster of the the year a
Senior and A/V Production student at Kenwood High School Marzell Norris won the Titans Radio Student Broadcaster of the the year award sponsored by Priceless IGA. He received a Priceless IGA gift card for being a weekly qualifier and then ultimately won the coveted award. They presented a plaque to him live during the Titans Radio Pregame Show where he met Mike Keith, Dave McGinnis, Rhett Bryan, Hunter Rice and Mark Howard. Marzell was given four tickets to the Titans vs. Jaguars game. He brought his A/V Production peer Keona Boykin, his A/V Production teacher Mandy Kelly and her daughter. Marzell also received a gift card for the Titans Locker Room and him and his guests were able to welcome the Titans football players in the tunnel before being escorted to their club level seats. Marzell won the contest by submitting an example of him doing play-by-play announcing and a recommendation from his A/V Production teacher.

  October ACT Practice Score Information
In October, KHS students participated in ACT testing. Seniors took the official ACT and have received official scores from ACT to report to colleges and universities. Freshmen took a shortened version of a practice ACT that was not scored because they went over the items and discussed what the ACT is. Juniors and Sophomores took a full practice test and will be receiving their practice scores on November 20. Parents can follow this link to get more information about students’ practice scores.
  Last Call for Cap & Gown Ordering with no deposit!
Jostens will return November 29 during all lunches for cap & gown orders and other graduation items. You will need your height and weight info. The forms in the packets MUST be returned to order! If you need a form, it is available on the Senior Website. Basic Required Items orders do not require payment to order. Jostens will bill you. This will be the last time the REP will be on site. Future orders will need to be placed and paid for online. See Mrs. Smith in the Library for details or questions. Email jill.smith@cmcss.net or call KHS 905-7900 ext. 1297.
  After School Late Bus available @ 4:30
Transportation available for after school tutoring and other activities at 4:30 PM. Students MUST turn in the signed permission form to be able to ride the late afternoon bus on Mondays - Thursdays. This is for students who stay for after school activities and have had their permission form approved. Students will be dismissed to the bus at 4:30. Students will not be able to ride the bus without prior approval. Routes and drop-off locations have been posted. See Mrs. I. Porter or Ms. McKenzie about getting the permission form.

  Know Your Numbers Day! Nov. 20
Monday, November 20 all KHS students will be participating in activities to increase awareness on the importance of their GPA and ACT scores! Parents are encouraged to work with their students on improving their numbers. GPA starts Freshman year! Good numbers will open doors to better colleges and scholarship opportunities!
  Seniors & Parents need to complete FAFSA
FAFSA is FREE application for college financial aide. It is REQUIRED to complete for college admissions. TN Promise students MUST have their FAFSA app completed in JANUARY, 2018. All other college applicants have until May. Parents will need to provide access to 2016 tax returns by creating their own FAFSA account to link to their tax return!
  Afternoon Tutoring
KHS afternoon tutoring is offered Monday through Thursday from 2:30-4:30. Free transportation is provided if needed. Student must have transportation permission forms signed and submitted to the front office by Friday, September 30th to receive transportation services. Contact the school's main office for additional bus transportation forms @ 931-905-7900.

  Anime & Gamers Club Tuesdays 2:30 - 4:30
The club will now meet from 2:30 - 4:30 PM on Tuesdays in the library. Please note the end time change and have transportation on time! All students must sign in at the desk and will not be dismissed into the school. Students will use the outside library entrance to leave.

  Student Laptop Information
Please view the information provided for high school and middle school student laptops. Parents and students must sign the paperwork to be issued the student laptop. Forms are available in the school office. Parents who attended the information meetings should have turned these in on meeting night.
  STUDENT PARKING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED
All CURRENT student drivers are REQUIRED to register to park on school grounds.Students must park in the Stadium Student Lot. Download the application and bring in your driver license, proof of current insurance and registration. $15 for full year. $10 for Gold Card holders. See Mrs. Smith in the Cafeteria during lunches or in the Library Media Center. Parking permits for new drivers will be available all year in the Library Media Center.

  2017 KHS Graduate Signs Athletic Scholarship
Kenwood High School is proud to announce KHS 2017 graduate, Tyree Boykin signed an athletic scholarship to continue his career at Union University in Jackson, TN. Union University is a private Christian University in West TN that has a respected reputation for its strong academic and athletic programs.
  Laptop Backpack Information
This school year our students will be issued a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop for use in class and at home. Students will need to have a backpack with support padding for a laptop, or a padded laptop sleeve. The dimensions of the laptop are 12 ¼ inches x 9 ¾ inches.
