About Me

Hello! I am excited to have your child in my class this year! This is my eighth year here at Burt, and my tenth with the school system. I am the 2012-2013 Distinguished Classroom Teacher for Burt, the Distinguished Classroom Teacher for our school district, and the Distinguished Classroom Teacher for Middle Tennessee! I have been married for fourteen years. I graduated from Austin Peay with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8), and I received my master's degree from Walden University. My degree is in Reading & Literacy (K-6). Soon I will begin working on my EDS, so I can become an administrator someday. I do not have children yet, but I have three wonderful cats and a lovely niece and nephew. In my free time I enjoy reading and learning new things.

It is almost time for the 13-14 school year to begin! I can't wait to meet all of you. Back to Burt night is August 6, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Hope to see you there!
