About Me

I have 29 years of teaching experience--22 years at Clarksville High School. I returned to the classroom after living and working in New York City for 15 years. During my stay in NYC, I co-founded with my husband David the Off West Broadway Theatre. My educational credits include a B/S with certification in English, Speech and Theatre from Austin Peay State University 1972, Master of Arts in Theatre, University of South Carolina 1974, Ordination in Ministry from New York City for Christian Studies 1991, Honorary Doctorate of Letters, Mid-Continent University, 2006. In addition to a full time teaching position, each year I direct two major productions, the Miss CHS Pageant, a departmental, school-wide lip sync contest, and a one act festival which features all 2nd and 4th-year theatre students. I am also a licensed, ordained minister and co-pastor at Faith Outreach Church North with my husband David. I am the proud mother of 5 Dachshunds and 1 Chiweenie.

Thanks to all students who are interested in the theatre program at CHS. Welcome. Please stop by room E-114 if you are interested in joining Drama Club.

Membership in CHS Drama Club is $10.00 per year. Students do not have to be enrolled in a theatre class in order to belong to this organization. It is not a required membership for theatre students. However, in order to be involved in extracurricular theatre, a student MUST be a member of the drama club, because it is the producing organization at CHS. Each active member of drama club will receive a complimentary ticket to the fall and the spring productions during the current academic year.
