About Me

Prior to becoming a teacher in Clarksville, I worked as a Senior Research Assistant in Molecular Biology in Indiana and Texas. I am originally from Indiana and have lived in Clarksville for 25 years. My husband is a professor and the Chairman of the Biology Department at APSU. I have two sons. My oldest son, Travis, graduated from CHS in 2008 and Tennessee Tech in May 2012. Travis and Danielle just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary. They live in Hermitage. My youngest son, Justin, graduated from CHS in 2010 and Trevecca Nazarene University in 2014. Justin completed his Master's Degree from Trevecca this summer. He lives in Nashville. Both of my sons played baseball for CHS. Justin also played baseball for TNU. My family enjoys outdoor activities: baseball, camping, fishing, and hiking. I love science and math. I hope to inspire each of my students to learn about the world around them and to not be afraid to ask "Why" things occur.
