About Me

I have been teaching Latin for 27 years at the high school and college levels. This is my seventeenth year at Clarksville High School. I have a Bachelor's degree in Classics and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, and I have a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Latin, also from Vanderbilt. My wife is the Latin teacher at Montgomery Central High School! In the summer of 2017 we attended our 36th NJCL Convention; this year it was at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. My wife and I have two children who both graduated from CHS and both attend APSU. We also have two dogs, three cats, and two turtles as house pets.

Our textbook is the 5th edition of the Cambridge Latin Course. The school will issue each student a paper copy of the textbook, but students will also have free online access to the textbook as well as to activities for review and enrichment.
