About Me

This is my third year with CMCSS. It is my 14th year teaching. I am HIGHLY QUALIFIED in all the middle school content areas as well as Math, Foreign Language and endorsed in Special Education, English as a Second Language, and Early Elementary Education. I received my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies at California State University, San Bernardino. I earned my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Nashville. I am a California native. I have visited 24 of the 50 states. I have one daughter, Melika, who is 24 and granddaughter, Leighton, who was just turned the big 1. I participate and volunteer in several community activities and several nonprofit organizations in the Clarksville area. If you see me out and about, feel free to say "hi".

The 8th grade math class took their first Friday quiz. Some did well, but many have much room for growth. Math is not easy for everyone. I am working with the students on a growth mindset this year. My expectation is for everyone to try to be better than they were yesterday. This will take work on both my part and the part of the students. It is possible for everyone to be successful. They just have to want it bad enough.
