About Me

Hello, The 2017-2018 school year marks the beginning of my 15th year of teaching! I earned my Bachelors in Human Development from Azusa Pacific University and my California Teaching Credential with ELL Certification, and my Masters of Education from Hope International University (California). Thank you for trusting me with your son/daughter this year! I am thrilled to be teaching middle and high school students language to help them in all areas! I'm a firm believer EVERYONE is an English Language Learner. My goal is for everyone in the class (including myself) to learn. My expectations are HIGH - because I KNOW your son/daughter can achieve! I believe every student in my class will grow academically, developmentally, emotionally, and independently. If you ever need to contact me please email me at: cynthia.brown@cmcss.net. Thank you. I will respond within 24 hours or less.

Welcome to my classrooms! Thank you for coming to class prepared to do your best!

In order to be prepared, students should have paper, pencils, and their computers. Thank you for providing supplies to your children so they can be academically successful.

Classroom Expectations

1.  I will come to school on time, rested, and prepared to learn and participate.

2.  I will treat myself, others, and materials at my school with dignity, kindness, and respect.

3.  I recognize that I must practice new skills to master them; therefore, homework is important.

4.  I recognize making mistakes is okay; and I must challenge myself to learn from my mistakes and never give up on learning.
