About Me

I am a proud wife of Coach Chad Watson and boy mom! I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Psychology and my Masters in Counseling with a concentration on School Counseling from Austin Peay State University. I am new to Northeast Middle School and am very excited to get the school year underway. I have lived in Tennessee my entire life. I love spending time with my husband, son, and nephew, watching football (especially the Tennessee Vols and Northeast Eagles), working out, and spending time with my family and friends. I am very excited to be working with your student, helping them grow and develop into the best version of themselves!

How did Spring Break get here so quickly?! Only a few more days until a much deserved break for these hard working students. We have been finishing up our bullying surveys as well as working on how to make new friends.

When we return from Spring Break, we will begin learning about testing strategies for standardized tests as well as some anxiety reducing activities as well!

Seasons Greetings! December is upon us and with that, a new specials rotation with new lessons! Students will now be following the PRODUCTIVE schedule, which includes Computer Lab in the rotation now :) This is awesome, as we should see students keyboarding skills improve even more quickly!

For December and the beginning of January, we will be covering the topics self-esteem and compassion in our guidance lessons.

Every 8 days, I see students in their classrooms for guidance lessons. We cover a variety of topics ranging from goal setting, bullying, friendship, test taking strategies, and much more!

In the month of November, we will be discussing the importance of self-control in different settings, especially in the classroom. Near the end of the month, we will be covering gratitude.
