About Me

I have been a Librarian/Media Specialist for 10 years. I enjoy helping students with research and reading. Reading is one of my favorite things to do!

What Is A Book?

A book is pages, pictures, and words,

A book is animals, people, and birds;

A book is stories of queens and kings,

Poems, and songs- so many things!

Curled in a corner where I can hide,

With a book, I can journey far and wide.

Though it’s only paper from end to end,

A book is a very special friend.

Classroom Expectations

1.  To Read, read, read!

2.  Listen Carefully—Listening is a matter of respect and a method of gaining information.

3.  Follow Directions and Stay On-Task—Our time is limited, so students need to follow directions right away and use the time that we have to get as much done as they can.

4.  Pick Up After Yourself—Students are expected to visit the library with respect by pushing in the chairs, returning borrowed supplies, and putting computer stations back in proper order before leaving.

5.  Use Quiet Voices—The library is a place for people to think, read, and study; many times more than one group of people are using the library. This means whisper voices not your normal voice.
