About Me

Northwest welcomes you to the 2017-2018 school year. I’m very excited to be a part of the Viking community and look forward to a productive year. My name is Casey Roach. I am originally from Arkansas. I have been married for nearly 10 years. My boys are Justin age 8, JaMarquez age 6, and Jace age 3. This is my 4th year teaching special education at Northwest and I love my Viking Family!!! I graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s of science degree. Classroom Expectations

1.  Be Prompt: Be on time, enter the classroom quietly, immediately go to your assigned seat, and begin the Bell Ringer activity. NWHS Tardy Policy allows three tardies before a discipline referral is issued. Your record of tardies will roll over each nine weeks.

2.  Be Prepared: Bring all materials and necessary work to class every day!! Paper, pencil, notebook, homework…etc Headphones, Cell phones and electronics of any kind are to be put away.

3.  Be Polite: Be nice or neutral to everyone. Swearing, teasing, talking back, and bullying will NOT be tolerated. Respect yourself, your classmates, your teacher, and your classroom. Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself. If you don't own it, don't write, draw or carve on it.

4.  Be Productive: MAXIMIZE learning time by staying on task, following directions, and remaining seated unless you've been given permission to get up.

5.  Be Patient: Wait respectfully and calmly for your turn. Listen, stay seated and track the speaker when someone is talking.
