About Me

I have 20 years field experience in biology working as a Fish & Game Warden in California. I obtained a B.S. Degree in Wildlife Management from Humboldt State University, Arcata, California and a MaED from Bethel University, McKenzie, TN. I am a huge animal lover. My family includes my husband, two teenage sons, a marmalade cat, two rescue dogs, and two African Grey Parrots. Yes, the parrots do talk. Currently they like to tease the dogs by saying "Meeeeeeow, Meeeeeeow. Here, kitty, kitty, kitty."

I hope all of you have enjoyed your summer break and are ready to immerse yourself in learning. Welcome back to Northwest High School and to biology 1a. We are going to hit the ground running with all the concepts we need to review and learn. Please do not hesitate to contact me via my school email, penelope.liotta@cmcss.net, if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you and your parents/guardians. ~Mrs. L
