About Me

I have lived in Tennessee for 25+ years and been involved with teaching music to young people since 1980 in churches first and then in the public school system since 1995. I have a Bachelor of Music from Kent State University and a Master of Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. I am a past president for the Middle Tennessee Orff-Schulwerk Association, my favorite method of teaching music. I also direct the Sango Elementary Honor Choir and work with the Sango Strings club. I enjoy singing and playing guitar. My other loves include my family, reading good books, and camping.

Congratulations to the Sango Honor Choir for a terrific first performance at Doughnuts for Dads November 17. They are now rehearsing Christmas music for a performance at the county library on December 17.

Third grade students are practicing for this year's PTA Holiday Musical, set for Thursday December 11, 2014. Students will do two rehearsal performances during the day on the 11th, and then do a community performance that evening. This year's show is "Once On A Housetop".

Mrs. Lunceford's PRIDE (RTI) group will present the 3 Piggy Opera on Thursday Dec. 4 and Friday Dec. 5 from 9:15-9:45. Parents of students in her group are encouraged to choose one of those days to attend. First graders will also be in attendance. They have spent 5 weeks practicing and learning about this famous fairy tale. It promises to be a memorable performance!
