About Me

I have lived in Tennessee for 30+ years and been involved with teaching music to young people since 1980, in churches first and then in the public school system since 1995. I have a Bachelor of Music from Kent State University and a Master of Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. I am an active member of the Middle Tennessee Orff-Schulwerk Association, my favorite method of teaching music. My husband and I have two grown daughters, both former Sango students, who are employed in the medical field. I enjoy singing and playing guitar. My other loves include reading, knitting, and camping.

Welcome back, students, for the 2nd half of the 2016-17 year. I want to say thank you to our 3rd graders for a great performance of the musical, "Our House Is a Holiday House". Honor Choir performed a lovely morning show for parents of holiday music.

Now we begin to work toward spring performances set for March. The Drama Club is working on the play "The Reluctant Dragon". Honor Choir will begin work on music from Broadway. All County Choir selection will take place immediately as 10 5th graders have the opportunity to represent Sango Elementary. As you can see, we will be busy in the music department!
