About Me

My name is Miss Taylor Kane. I grew up in a military family and spent my life moving all around the country. I've lived in 10 different states and absolutely love to travel! I've spent the past two years teaching high school English and Photojournalism in Loudoun County, Virginia and the past five years teaching middle school theatre arts with the Duke University TIP program. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English with specializations in Secondary Education and Theatre Arts from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In my spare time I like to hang out with my two cats, Ollivander and Fitzgerald, do yoga, drink coffee, and write poetry.

This week we will be reading the novel, The Giver. Please encourage your student to finish the final nine weeks strongly by submitting all assignments and regularly checking PowerSchool.

Academic Tip: Review the novel with your student by asking what is happening and what their favorite parts are!
