About Me

I have been teaching in the CMCSS since 1986. I have a Bachelors degree in Sociology, Psychology, and Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Both degrees were earned at Austin Peay State University. I have taught at Moore, Byrns Darden, Minglewood, Kenwood and Norman Smith Elementary School. I have taught grades 1 - 5. First and 4th being my favorite at the elementary level. I also taught in Wuerzburg, Germany from 1983-1986 I started teaching Technology at Smith Elementary in 1988 and came to West Creek in 2007 to teach a higher level of Technology. I have post-graduate hours in Instructional Technology from Walden University. My hobbies include sewing, designing and reading. I have a degree in Dressmaking and Design.

All classes will be using Google Classroom and Google Docs as we start the 1st Semester.

We will also use Google Sheets, Forms, and Slides.

Work in the Computer Literacy Lab is Project Based. This means that each day an assignment is completed that leads to the end project. Each unit last from 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the content.

Parents will be able to see Students work by having them show you their work in Google Drive. This can be accessed from home.

If a student has been absent and has intenet access at home, work can be made up at home by checking out a unit work folder from me.
