We are located in Clarksville, Tennessee between Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Nashville, serving a population of over 200,000 people.

District Snapshot – About CMCSS 

CMCSS is the seventh largest district in Tennessee, and according to U.S. Census figures in the top five fastest growing cities in the country.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System’s nearly 5,100 employees serve over 36,000 students.

There are 42 schools in the district: one K-5 Magnet School, 23 elementary, 7 middle, 7 high, an Alternative School, one Early Technical College at Tennessee College of Applied Technology, and one Middle College, which is located on the campus of Austin Peay State University. CMCSS also offers eight specialized, interest-driven college and career academies within our high schools.

CMCSS is the second largest employer in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area, next to Fort Campbell Army Post.
