CMCSS is committed to effective and efficient communications with parents. The Parent Advisory Council consists of one parent from each of the district’s 40 schools. The group meets monthly through the school year to learn about district processes, announcements, and pertinent, timely initiatives that affect the over 36,000 students we serve. Parents disseminate this information with their representative school group. The Parent group also weighs in on critical topics, such as the Student Code of Conduct, the district’s mission and vision, and whether CMCSS successfully prepares all students for college or career readiness.

Principals seek out and select their schools’ representatives in August of each school year. For more information on the group, contact LaTonya Long at [email protected].
