Rising 11th and 12th grade students have opportunities to develop career-ready skills and engage in no-cost college courses to create a secure foundation post graduation.

Rising 11th-Grade Students
The following opportunites are available to rising Juniors.
Middle College is a unique collaborative program between CMCSS and APSU that enables 11th and 12th-grade students to obtain a high school education while concurrently receiving direct and invaluable access to free college courses. Middle College classes take place at the Burt Innovation Center and the APSU campus.
Early Technical College specializes in the technical training associated with high skill, high wage, and in-demand jobs. It provides hands-on learning that allows students a no-cost opportunity to work towards specialized industry certificates while earning high school credits for graduation. ETC courses take place on the campus of TCAT.
Accelerated Associate Program
The Accelerated Associate Program at NSCC is a hybrid initiative between NSCC and CMCSS. The two-year program provides a no-cost option for students to earn college credits toward their associate degree while still enrolled in high school. Students will take their high school courses at their enrolled school and take college courses on the NSCC campus.
Founders, INC.
Founders, INC. is a hub for student entrepreneurs and innovators from all CMCSS high schools. Students attending classes at Founders, INC. will be immersed in an authentic entrepreneurship experience as they work to develop a business over the course of a school year. Students will attend classes at the enrolled high school and Founders, INC. collaboration will happen at the Burt Innovation Center.
Rising 12th-Grade Students
The above schools and programs of choice are available to rising 12th-grade students. Rising Seniors also have the opportunity for the programs below:
Internships
Internships are structured educational programs that combine the academic study of employability skills with paid, hands-on work experiences related to a student’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program of study or career goals. Internships give students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in the classroom in real-world settings, while gaining professional skills and career insights.
CMCSS CDL-A Program
The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, in partnership with Armored Trucking Academy, is offering seniors (18 years old by 1/15/27) the opportunity to earn a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and gain real-world experience in transportation and logistics. The program is free to eligible students.
