Pass and Go

June 21, 2011

On July 30, 2011 one lucky student will drive home a brand new Toyota Yaris from the Joe Heitz Toyota Pass and Go event! For the 3rd year in a row, Joe Heitz Toyota has partnered with Premier Medical Group, Beach Oil Company and the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to reward students for academic success.

This event is held for CMCSS high school students who pass their 2011 Advanced Placement tests with a score of 3, 4 or 5. Prizes include gas cards donated by Beach Oil Company, flash drives, 7 iPods and 12 laptop computers donated by Premier Medical Group. The grand prize of the day will be the 2011 Toyota Yaris donated by Joe Heitz Toyota.

There will be exciting changes made in entertainment at this year’s event including trivia based on the AP courses in which the students also have a chance to win prizes. The Austin Peay Pom Squad will be in attendance to pump up the students and get the community excited about their accomplishments.

This event has become a huge hit within the community and it has helped encourage students to challenge themselves and strive for academic excellence.

“Anything that any business or leader in the community does to encourage our young people to excel and try harder pays back dividends in our community for a long time to come,” says Joe Heitz of Joe Heitz Toyota.

Since this event launched two years ago, CMCSS AP classes have not only seen increases in enrollment, but also the number of students who passed the AP tests has shown healthy increases.
