School Board Receives Honor

Using a list of positive adjectives, Gracie Porter, the Mid Cumberland District Director for the Tennessee School Boards Association, congratulated the CMC School Board for earning the Board of Distinction Award. The award recognizes the outstanding performance of the school board as a whole. To qualify, the school board must perform in an above excellent manner in Planning, Policy,
Promotion, and Board development.
“Not every board qualifies,” Porter told the audience at the August formal meeting. Board Chairman Jimmie Garland accepted the award on behalf of the seven-member CMC School Board.
