Five DOS Finalists to Interview

The Tennessee School Boards Association has recommended five Director of Schools finalists for the School Board’s consideration. Current Schools Director Mike Harris announced his retirement will be effective July 31.
The candidates will each spend a full day in the school district, with interviews scheduled for next week. The public is invited to hear the School Board’s interviews each day at 5:30 p.m. in the Ann Hunter Board Room at Central Office. Each of the candidates will be scheduled to meet throughout the day with stakeholder groups and each will tour an elementary, middle and high school.

Monday, April 9 – Dr. B.J. Worthington
Tuesday, April 10 – Dr. Constance Jones
Wednesday, April 11 – Dr. Bill Heath
Thursday, April 12 — Dr. Gregory Firn
Friday, April 13 — Dr. JeVon Marshall
The School Board is expected to make its decision on the matter at a special-called April 17 meeting.
