Clara Patterson, Assistant Principal Barkers Mill Elementary School

Clara Patterson has been chosen to serve as an assistant principal for Barkers Mill Elementary School, replacing Melissa Johnson, who was named assistant principal at Liberty Elementary School.  Patterson began her teaching career in 1976 in Huntsville, Alabama.  She transitioned to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky Schools before coming to the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in 1987.  Patterson has served in several roles in administration, with her most recent role as an academic coach at Minglewood Elementary School.

Patterson earned her Ed. D. in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2005.  She also earned her post graduate certification in Administration and Supervision and both M. A. and B. S. in Elementary Education from Austin Peay State University.

 

Russell Mang, Assistant Principal split position at Montgomery Central Middle and Montgomery Central High School

Russell Mang has been selected as assistant principal in a split position at Montgomery Central Middle and Montgomery Central High Schools, replacing Steven Roberts, who moved to a full-time assistant principal position at Montgomery Central High School.  In 1997, Mang began his teaching career in Hendersonville, Tennessee.  His work for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System started at Kenwood High School in 2000.  He later transferred to Rossview High School to teach government, and served as a part-time assistant principal for the 2013-2014 school year.

 

Mang attended Austin Peay State University and Nashville State Technical College before earning his M. A. in Educational Leadership and B. A. in U.S. and World History from Trevecca Nazarene University.

 

Melissa Johnson, Assistant Principal Liberty Elementary School

Melissa Johnson has been chosen to serve as the assistant principal for Liberty Elementary School, replacing Melisse Williams, the current principal of St. Bethlehem.  Johnson began her career in education as a second grade teacher at Northeast Elementary School in 1997, and later moved to Sango Elementary School to teach first grade. Since 2010, Johnson has worked as an assistant principal at Barkers Mill Elementary School.  She earned her M.A. in educational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, and her B.S. in interdisciplinary studies from Austin Peay State University.

 

 

Kim Walker, Assistant Principal Northwest High School 

Kim Walker has been selected as an assistant principal of Northwest High School, replacing Theresa Muckleroy, the current principal of Northwest.  Walker began teaching in 1999, as an upper level elementary teacher at Cumberland Heights. In 2002, she served as a language arts teacher at Kenwood Middle School.  She was promoted in 2004 to work as a middle school academic coach.  Since 2008, she has served as an assistant principal at Montgomery Central High School.   She received both her M.A.+20 in administration and supervision and her B.S. in interdisciplinary studies from Austin Peay State University, as well as a second M.A. in curriculum and instruction from Cumberland University.

 

 

Garry Chadwell, Principal Northeast High School 

Garry Chadwell has been selected as the principal of Northeast High School, replacing the interim principal, Michael Tharpe.  Chadwell has served as an administrator for six years, with the last three years of experience as a principal in Bethel, Alaska.  He earned his M.A. in education administration from Grand Canyon University and his B. A. in middle school education from Alice Lloyd College, in Pippa Passes, Kentucky.  His career in education began in Harrogate, Tennessee in 1999, where he gained teaching and coaching experience.

 

In response to being selected for the position, Chadwell said, “It is a great honor to be joining the Northeast High learning community!  I look forward to working with the student body, parents, faculty, and staff in the continued focus on student growth and achievement.”

 

 

Mr. Tavis Massey, Ms. Kim Yarbrough and Mr. Michael Tharpe will serve as the assistant principals of Northeast High School. Mr. Patrick Digby will join West Creek High School’s administrative team as an assistant principal.

 

 

Melisse Williams, Principal St. Bethlehem Elementary School 

Melisse Williams has been selected as the principal for St. Bethlehem Elementary School, replacing Tracy McPherson who was named as the principal of East Montgomery Elementary School.  Williams has served as an assistant principal since 2008, in addition to nine years of elementary teaching experience.  She earned her Educational Specialist degree in educational leadership from Lincoln Memorial University, her M.A. in curriculum and instruction from Austin Peay State University, and her B.A. in communication from David Lipscomb University.

 

“I’m honored to be a part of the St. B learning community with its rich tradition and history,” Mrs. Williams shared. “I know the commitment that has been made to student achievement, and I look forward to working with the teachers, staff, and parents.”

 

 

Emily Clark, assistant principal for Norman Smith Elementary School

Emily Clark has been chosen to serve as the assistant principal for Norman Smith Elementary School, replacing Margaret Hausauer, the current principal of Norman Smith.  Clark has lower and upper level elementary teaching experience, and has most recently worked as Norman Smith’s academic coach.  She earned her M.A. in educational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, and her B.A. in elementary education from Oakland City University.

 

 

Lorri Kirkman, assistant principal for Ringgold Elementary School

Lorri Kirkman has been selected as the assistant principal of Ringgold Elementary School, replacing Angela Lovelace, the current principal of Ringgold Elementary School.  Kirkman’s 22 years of lower and upper level elementary teaching experience began at Ringgold and continued at Sango and Rossview.  She received both her M.A. in administration and supervision and her B.A. in elementary education from Austin Peay State University.

 

 

Catherine Yaceczko assistant principal of Minglewood Elementary School

Catherine Yaceczko has been selected to serve as the assistant principal of Minglewood Elementary School, replacing Bonnie Digby, the current principal of the same school.  Yaceczko has served as an elementary teacher at Rossview since 2011.  Prior to joining the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, she worked as an elementary teacher and team leader with Teach for America in Jonestown, Mississippi for four years.  She received her M.A. in instructional leadership from Bethel University and her B.S. from Eastern Michigan University.

 

 

Angela Lovelace principal of Ringgold Elementary School

Margaret Hausauer principal of Norman Smith Elementary School

Angela Lovelace will be the new principal for Ringgold Elementary, replacing Melinda Harris who was named principal of Barksdale Elementary.  Margaret Hausauer will be the new principal for Norman Smith Elementary, replacing Beth Unfried who was named Elementary Schools Director.

 

Lovelace has served for five years as assistant principal at Ringgold, in addition to 14 years of teaching experience in upper and lower elementary and in middle school special education. She earned her M.A. in educational leadership and B.S. in education from Austin Peay State University.

 

Hausauer has served as assistant principal at Norman Smith Elementary since 2012. Previously she was a school librarian at West Creek and Kenwood Elementary Schools, and a language arts teacher at Kenwood Middle, Northeast Middle and New Providence Middle.  She began her teaching career at Norman Smith.  She earned her M.S. In supervision and administration from Trevecca Nazarene University, as well as completing her librarian certification at Middle Tennessee State University.  She completed her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Peabody/Vanderbilt University. She has earned graduate hours from Austin Peay and Minot State College in North Dakota.

 

 

Tracy McPherson principal of East Montgomery Elementary School

St. Bethlehem Principal Tracy McPherson has been selected as the next principal of East Montgomery Elementary, replacing Yvonne Hackney who is retiring this summer.  Mrs. McPherson has 25 years of educational experience in CMCSS.

 

Prior to her role as principal, she served as an assistant principal and a middle and elementary school literacy coach.  She also has experience as a teacher for all three grade levels.

 

She earned her Master’s in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University, her teaching credentials from Whittier College and her B.S. in child development from California State University, Fullerton.
