Dedications to be Made Sunday

Two long-time educators will be honored this Sunday with the naming of educational areas at New Providence and Northwest High.

First, there will be the naming of the Bobby Petties Automotive Center at Northwest High School at 2 p.m.

Mr. Petties was the well-loved auto shop vocational teacher who began his career with CMCSS in 1977 and retired in 2002.

Second, there will be the naming of the Frances C. Sumner Library at New Providence Middle School at 4 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2015. Mrs. Sumner began her career as librarian of New Providence Junior High in 1966. She witnessed much change throughout her professional career, retiring from New Providence Middle School in 2010.
