Carla Offutt, Assistant Principal-Oakland Elementary School 
Carla Offutt
Carla Offutt has been named assistant principal at Oakland Elementary School beginning with the 2016-17 school year.  She has served as the academic coach at Oakland Elementary since the school opened in 2015.  She previously served as an academic coach and teacher at Glenellen Elementary School from 2011-2015.  Prior to coming to CMCSS, Offutt taught at elementary schools in Chattanooga and served as a Preschool Director in Murfreesboro.

Offutt earned her Master of Arts in Education and TN Instructional Leadership licensure from Cumberland University.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Middle Tennessee State University.
Offutt is a 2015 graduate of the CMCSS Aspiring Administrator’s Academy and was a 2014 CMCSS Teacher of the Year Honoree and TEA Distinguished Classroom Teacher.  She also attended the CMCSS Balanced Leadership Series and has served as a Lead Mentor.
Dr. Carolyn Kennedy, Assistant Principal-Northeast High School

Dr. Carolyn Kennedy has been named assistant principal at Northeast High School beginning with the 2016-17 school year.  Dr. Kennedy has taught special education at West Creek High School since 2014.  She previously has served as an elementary principal, alternative school principal, and special education teacher for Kingsport City Schools and the Socorro Independent School District.
Dr. Kennedy earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tennessee State University.  She earned her Master of Arts in Education from Tusculum College and her Bachelor of Science in Management from Park University.
Dr. Kennedy is a 2016 graduate of the CMCSS Aspiring Administrator’s Academy.  She also has experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in special education at the University of the Cumberlands and East Tennessee State University.
Bradley Hutson, Assistant Principal-Northeast High School
Bradley Hutson
Bradley Hutson has been named assistant principal at Northeast High School beginning with the 2016-17 school year.  Hutson has taught speech, theatre, and TV production at Northeast High School since 2009.  He also teaches courses in public speaking at Austin Peay State University.
Hutson will graduate on May 7, 2016, earning his doctoral degree in Leadership and Professional Practices from Trevecca Nazarene University.  He received both his M.S. in Health and Human Performance and B.S. in Mass Communication from Middle Tennessee State University.  He received his teacher certification from Austin Peay State University and administrator licensure from Bethel University.
Hutson was named the Northeast High School Teacher of the Year for 2015-16.  He was also honored as the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama Educator of the Year in 2011 and was the Northeast High Distinguished Educator Green Apple Award Winner in 2010.
Richard Frost, Assistant Principal-New Providence Middle School
Richard Frost
Richard Frost has been named assistant principal at New Providence Middle School beginning with the 2016-17 school year. Frost has served as the Student Support Coordinator and taught mathematics, physical education, and special education at New Providence since 2008.  He previously taught mathematics at Northeast Middle School.
Frost earned both his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership Studies and Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Austin Peay State University.  He also completed the CMCSS Balanced Leadership Series.
Frost was honored in 2006 with the Distinguished Educator Green Apple Award.  He also has over 13 years of experience as a head basketball coach and soccer coach.
Kimberly Herndon, Assistant Principal-Rossview High School
Kimberly Herndon
Kimberly Herndon has been named assistant principal at Rossview High School beginning with the 2016-17 school year.  Herndon has served as a mathematics teacher at Rossview High School since 2004.
Herndon earned her Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Austin Peay State University.  She received her administration licensure from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Herndon was the 2015 Rossview High School Teacher of the Year.  She was also honored with the Distinguished Classroom Teacher designation in 2014 and a Green Apple Award in 2007.  She is a 2015 graduate of the CMCSS Aspiring Administrator’s Academy and served on the 2015-16 CMCSS Teacher Leader Network.
Kelsea Cox, Assistant Principal-Barkers Mill Elementary School
Kelsea Cox
Kelsea Cox has been named assistant principal at Barkers Mill Elementary School beginning with the 2016-17 school year.  Cox currently serves as the K-2 Academic Coach and RTI Specialist at Barkers Mill.  She has previously taught first, second, and third grade at Barkers Mill since 2011.
Cox earned both her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Austin Peay State University.
Cox completed the 2013-14 CMCSS Leadership Development Class Series.  She also served on the CMCSS Teacher Communications Group and the CMCSS Teacher Leader Network in 2015-16.
