The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency has ended. CMCSS’ COVID-19 Return to School/Work Guidelines and COVID-19 Related Leave Policy expired on Friday, May 26, 2023. With in-person learning, our collective actions can help mitigate the spread of communicable diseases. The District’s communicable disease mitigation strategy has always been about using multiple layers to improve success. CMCSS uses the following mitigation layers:

  • Using MERV 13 instead of MERV 9 filters in all buildings
  • Increasing outdoor air ventilation
  • Encouraging self-screening, handwashing, covering sneezes, and staying home when sick for all students, employees, and visitors
  • Replenishing hand sanitizing stations

Effective May 30, 2023. Subject to change based on updated guidance and local, state, or national recommendations or mandates.
