CMCSS Hosts Family Session “Understanding IDEA and Section 504”

October 31, 2023

The CMCSS Special Populations Department will host a series of family engagement sessions to build an understanding of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The first session, “Understanding IDEA and Section 504,” will focus on several topics to allow parents and caregivers to learn and ask questions.

Families can choose from one of two meeting dates. On Monday, November 27, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., CMCSS Special Populations Department representatives will meet in person with families at Central Services South (1312 Highway 48). Snacks and drinks will be provided.

On Wednesday, November 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., families can attend a virtual session over Zoom.
