Academies of CMCSS Summer Camps 2024

April 18, 2024

The Academies of CMCSS are once again offering summer camps for children interested in specific content areas. Elementary and middle school students can explore unique learning opportunities through games and hands-on activities. Camps are held at different locations in Clarksville-Montgomery County. Please reach out directly to the individual camp’s point of contact for more information.

Agriculture Camp

Academy of Plant and Animal Systems

Students will be exposed to multiple aspects of the agriculture industry including animal science, plant science and natural resources via classroom activities, school farm and greenhouse. Camp participants will also work with current academy students to develop leadership and team-building skills.

Create Camp

Academy of Media Art and Design

The Create Workshop will offer students a focused three-day training and development experience in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Students will enter as Interns and leave as Junior Designers, possessing a better understanding of and appreciation for the field of Digital Art & Design. Skills in typography and photo editing developed over the course of the workshop will lead students to design a creative poster of their own!

CITA 2.0

CITA Academy

CITA 2.0 offers camp participants a technology and engineering team-building experience that is relevant to current industry standards. Campers will build and code robots with our award-winning robotics students and compete in a friendly competition of their own. Join us and experience the fun of CITA!

Medicamp

Health Science Academy

Camp participants will spend four days immersed in all things medical. Participants will spend time learning about nursing activities, how emergency medical personnel respond to events, why and what protective gear is required for medical professionals, spending time in a real ambulance, and so much more!

Camp Engineer

STEM Academy

Camp Engineer is designed to spark interest in science and engineering. The camp will focus on applying STEM concepts to increase critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. All activities students complete during the camp will be hands-on, collaborative, and highly interactive.

CMCSS Aviation Camp

Rossview and West Creek Aviation Career and Technical Education Pathways

Experience the thrill of flight at our Summer Aviation Camp! This event is open to aviation-interested incoming 7th and 8th-grade students from Rossview and West Creek Middle Schools.

This immersive program offers hands-on learning in a dynamic aviation environment. Participants will explore aircraft, maintenance, aerodynamic principles, and weather concepts. Engage with industry professionals and gain insights into various career paths in aviation. Ignite your passion for flying while making lifelong memories. Join us for an unforgettable journey this summer!

Camp Junior Executive

Supply Chain Management Academy

Camp Junior Executive engages our newest executives in hands-on supply chain learning, leadership challenges, and team-building activities. This immersive experience will develop practical skills, foster teamwork, and introduce students to the workings of supply chain management and the business field, providing a valuable learning opportunity in a short time frame.

Did we mention fun? This isn’t an office-based or behind-the-desk experience. With interactive games, simulations, and a planned water day to wrap up camp, we can’t wait to welcome the best and brightest to Kirkwood’s campus to be the future of Supply Chain Management!

Snacks will be provided daily, and students will depart camp with memories, new knowledge, and a SCMA swag pack!
