Impeartrice Named Interim Chief Academic Officer

Dr. Sean Impeartrice has been named Interim Chief Academic Officer for CMCSS. Dr. Impeartrice most recently has served as Secondary Special Education Coordinator in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools. Previous experience includes serving as a teacher and as principal in both Franklin, Tenn. and in Metro Nashville schools. He previously served two years as Chief Academic Officer for CMCSS, and has five years experience as CMCSS Middle Schools Director.

Bryan Feldman has been chosen as the next principal of Clarksville High School. Feldman, who has served as principal at West Creek Middle School for seven years, replaces Jean Luna who has been appointed director of all CMCSS high schools.

Inclement Weather Plan

Inclement Weather Make Up Plan for 2017-18 Decided

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board voted at its formal session July 18, 2017 on the Inclement Weather Make Up Plan for the school year, should it be needed. The first five days missed by students will not be made up and will come from stockpiled student days The sixth day missed and subsequent days will be made up as available: January 2, 2018 (staff development day) February 19, 2018 (Presidents Day) Early release day on March 2, 2018 will be converted to a full day with thirty minutes added to eight additional school days to equal one day.



Administrative Appointments Announced

Four Administrative Appointments Announced for CMCSS The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has made four administrative appointments for leadership positions. They include: Jean Luna is named the Director of High Schools for CMCSS. She has 19 years of experience in education in the states of Iowa, Washington, North Carolina and Tennessee. She will earn her doctorate of education from Lipscomb University this December. She has served as principal at Clarksville High School since 2012. Previously, she was assistant principal at CHS. She also has 13 years of teaching experience at different grade levels in four states.



School Calendars Arriving Soon

If this isn’t your first year in CMCSS, you may be wondering when your 2017-18 School Calendar will arrive. Calendars will be mailed to the homes of registered students the week of July 17. Students new to CMCSS will receive a calendar when they register at their new school.

July 7, 2017 — From providing a range of innovative initiatives, including social-emotional learning programs to giving English language learners quality support, 54 school districts have been named among “District Administrator” magazine’s newest batch of Districts of Distinction this year. Clarksville-Montgomery County School System was honored in the category of Community/Family partnerships for the Pass and Go Advanced Placement Encouragement program, currently sponsored by Wyatt Johnson Automotive Group, the Clarksville Domino’s Pizza franchise and Beach Oil Co. and the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation.
